Comparison review
The Google Nexus 9 is a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, with a overall score of 74.5 against 68.5. Both tablets we are comparing here use Android OS, but Google Nexus 9 has a more recent 5.0 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 version. Google Nexus 9 is a somewhat heavier portable tablet than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, but they have the same thickness.
The Google Nexus 9 features a bit better processor than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has an inferior number of cores and doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Google Nexus 9 also counts with a 64-bits processor. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a little more vivid display than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a just a little better screen density and a slightly higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.
The Google Nexus 9 takes a bit better videos and photos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photos, they both have a camera in the back with an 8 mega pixels. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Google Nexus 9, because it has 64 GB internal storage.
The Google Nexus 9 has a really longer battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
