Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2, getting a global score of 68.5 against 63.4. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a thinner and incredibly lighter tablet than Microsoft Surface 2, although both were only released with a few months difference. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.2.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 operating system.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much sharper display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixels density and a better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution.
