Lumia 2520 has a global score of 68.6, which is slightly better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's score of 68.5. Despite being the best tablet in this comparison review, the Lumia 2520 body is thicker and extremely heavier than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. The Lumia 2520 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.2.2 operating system.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a little more vivid display than Lumia 2520, because although it has way more opaque display and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a way better number of pixels per display inch. The Lumia 2520 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 both have very similar CPUs, both have a 450 megahertz graphics processor, a 2 GB RAM and the same number of cores.
Lumia 2520 shoots much better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has a back facing camera with lesser MP resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better photography and video in poorly lited situations.
