Comparison review

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the OSCAL Spider 8, having a 68.5 score against 64.4. Despite of the fact that the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is notably older than the OSCAL Spider 8, it's body is much lighter and way thinner. Both devices in this comparison review have Android operating system, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.2.2 version while OSCAL Spider 8 has Android 13 version, so it gives you lots of additional features.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a way better display than OSCAL Spider 8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little brighter display, a way greater screen density and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px. OSCAL Spider 8 features a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB.

The OSCAL Spider 8 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 count with similar CPUs, because although the OSCAL Spider 8 has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with 4 more processing cores (although slower) and a greater amount of RAM memory. The OSCAL Spider 8 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a much more megapixels back facing camera.

The OSCAL Spider 8 has a much better battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
