Comparison review

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a little bit better than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, getting a general score of 68.5 against 63. Although Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE were released only a few months apart, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner. Both tablets in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has Android 4.4.2.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a greater processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same number of cores and 2 GB of RAM memory, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional GPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better screen than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better pixels number per display inch and a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's battery performance is very similar to Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's battery life.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 captures much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because it has a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.
