Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a 68.5 score against 62.8. Although it's the best in this comparison review, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is an older, a bit thicker and somewhat heavier tablet device than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.2.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a little bigger screen, a way higher pixels count per display inch and a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with more memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
