The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is better than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, with a overall score of 68.5 against 60.5. These tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an older 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is an older and a little bit thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, but Amazon managed to build it lighter anyway.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a quite superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a quite bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
