The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, getting a 68.5 score against 62.6. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11, counting with a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's body is a lot lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, but it is thicker and was released 8 years before.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a much faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has lesser RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a GPU. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a way better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher number of pixels per screen inch and a better resolution of 1600 x 2560.
