Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a little bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 70 score against 68.5. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has 9.0 Pie version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2, so it gives you a couple additional features. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is noticeably newer than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, it is way thicker and just a little heavier.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a way better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a way higher display pixels density, a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a bit bigger display. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit more memory for applications and games than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 4 lesser cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a much better battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Both have a same resolution back camera.
