Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is slightly better than the Galaxy View 2, getting a 68.5 score against 65.3. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.2.2 version and Galaxy View 2 has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Even though Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is notably older than Galaxy View 2, it's construction is much lighter and incredibly thinner.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy View 2, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1600 x 2560px resolution and a much higher number of pixels per inch in the display. The Samsung Galaxy View 2 counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy View 2 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy View 2, because although it has a lower number of cores and 1 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics co-processor. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy View 2.
