Although iPad 10.2-inch is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Nexus 9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPad 10.2-inch, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Nexus 9, resigning a couple features and specifications.
