Apple iPad (2020) has a score of 66.6, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s 65.7 global score. Although the Apple iPad (2020) is a lot heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), it's thinner and a lot newer. The iPad (2020) has a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the iPad (2020) also has a 64 bits CPU.
Apple iPad (2020) has a much better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a bigger screen, a higher pixel count in each inch in the display and a much higher resolution of 1620 x 2160. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a slightly better camera than iPad (2020), and although they both have a back camera with an 8 mega-pixels resolution, the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a way larger aperture for better photography in low light situations.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with a superior storage to store more apps and games than iPad (2020), because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB.
