Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is a bit better than iPad 9.7-inch (2018)'s 77 global score. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) body is older, notably heavier and thicker than the iPad 9.7-inch (2018). The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) and the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) feature really similar displays, although the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has a larger display, a little bit better quantity of pixels per inch of display and a better resolution of 2736 x 1824px.
The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a bit faster CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has 14 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores. The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) captures much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).
