The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) has an overall score of 77, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)'s 76.7 general score. The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is an older and a little bit heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), but Apple managed to make it just a little bit thinner anyway.
The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a slightly higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) counts with a much better memory for applications and games than iPad 9.7-inch (2018), and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
IPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores (although they are faster). So if you want that extra features, you can buy iPad 9.7-inch (2018), else you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), resigning some features and specs.
