The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a general score of 77, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5's 74.5 general score. Even though iPad 9.7-inch (2018) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 were only released 5 months apart, iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter.
IPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a little better pixels number in each inch in the screen. The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory.
Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) features a bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) features better battery duration than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has a 21 percent greater battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than iPad 9.7-inch (2018), and although they both have a back facing camera with an 8 megapixels resolution, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a way larger aperture.
