The Apple iPad Air (2019) is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, having a general score of 85.9 against 78.6. Apple iPad Air (2019)'s body is just a little bit thicker and heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e. The iPad Air (2019) features a more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab S5e, because although it has 1 GB less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the iPad Air (2019) also counts with a 64-bit processor.
Apple iPad Air (2019) has a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, although it has a bit lower resolution of 1668 x 2224px and a quite lower display density, they both have a screen with the same size. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e has just a bit better camera than iPad Air (2019), because it has a larger aperture, a way better (4K) video definition and a back camera with a lot better 13 megapixels resolution.

So if you need that extra features, you can buy the iPad Air (2019), but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, letting go a couple features and specifications.
