IPad Air (2020) is much better than the iPad mini (7th Gen), with a global score of 71.7 against 61. Both tablets in this comparison come with iPadOS OS (operating system), but the iPad Air (2020) has 14.x version and iPad mini (7th Gen) has iPadOS 15.x version. IPad Air (2020) counts with a very superior CPU than Apple iPad mini (7th Gen), and although they both have a Hexa-Core CPU, the iPad Air (2020) also has a 64 bits CPU.
