The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much better than iPad mini (A17 Pro), having a 74.5 score against 63.3. Despite being the best portable tablet in this review, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 construction is just a little bit thicker and just a bit heavier than iPad mini (A17 Pro). Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 operating system, and iPad mini (A17 Pro) comes with iPadOS 18.x operating system.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much faster processing unit than Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro), because it has a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a bit better screen than iPad mini (A17 Pro), because it has a little bit more pixels per screen inch, a quite larger display and a slightly better resolution of 2560 x 1600.
The iPad mini (A17 Pro) features a much better storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a superior battery life than iPad mini (A17 Pro). The Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro) takes better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a much more megapixels camera in the back.
Even being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also by far the cheapest, making it an easy decision.
