Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface 3 has a general score of 66.3, which is slightly better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's 61.2 general score. Microsoft Surface 3's construction is newer than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's, but it is much heavier and somewhat thicker. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a bit better processing unit than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a better screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixels density. Microsoft Surface 3 features a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.

The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a battery duration that is very similar to the battery lifetime in Asus MeMO Pad 8. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a slightly better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution and a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.

Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
