Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro is just a bit better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, with a general score of 63.2 against 61.2. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro operating system, while Asus MeMO Pad 8 comes with Android 4.4 operating system. Even being the best in this comparison, we must highlight that it is also an older, incredibly heavier and a lot thicker tablet.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a higher display pixels density.

Microsoft Surface Pro has much more memory capacity to install applications and games than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 captures much clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.

The Microsoft Surface Pro and Asus MeMO Pad 8 both count with similar battery performance.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
