Comparison review
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT, having a 61.2 score against 58.4. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 comes with Android 4.4 OS, while Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS. Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a newer portable tablet, and it's also notably lighter and incredibly thinner than the Microsoft Surface RT.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features just a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has doesn't have a GPU, they both have the same RAM amount and 4 processing cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a brighter display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1920 x 1200 resolution and a much higher screen density.
The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a slightly better storage to install games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage capacity. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a greater camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 and the Microsoft Surface RT count with really similar batteries.
Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it costs more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, resigning some specs and features.
