The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's 61.2 score. Both tablets in this comparison review come with the same Android 4.4 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that. Even being the best in this comparison review, it must be told that it's also extremely older, somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a better display than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much higher quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a bit superior CPU than Galaxy Note 10.1. Both have 4 cpu cores and the same RAM memory amount.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 captures better photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1. They have the same video frame rates, the same (HD) video resolution and a 5 megapixels camera. The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has an external SD slot that admits 32 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a superior battery lifetime than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, else you can save some dollars and get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go a couple specs and features.
