Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is just a bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8, having a 63 score against 61.2. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has 4.4.2 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides you a lot of extra features and optimized performance. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's design is older, a lot heavier and somewhat thicker than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a better looking screen than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and a way higher display pixel density. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE. Both of them have 4 cpu cores and 2 GB of RAM memory.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has 16 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a camera that's very similar to Asus MeMO Pad 8's camera, they have the same video frame rates, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE counts with a battery performance that is very similar to the Asus MeMO Pad 8 one.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go some specs and features.
