Comparison review

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a general score of 61.2, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 10.1's 58.1 general score. Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a much newer tablet, and it is also somewhat thinner and much lighter than Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (operating system), but Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a more recent 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4, so it provides you some extra features and some performance improvements.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a better performance than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a higher number of cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch of screen and a much better 1920 x 1200px resolution.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a very superior memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a much better battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has a much less MP resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a way better 1920x1080 video quality.

Even being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Asus MeMO Pad 8 is also a lot cheaper.
