Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has an overall score of 65, which is a little bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8's 61.2 score. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s construction is older, extremely heavier and incredibly thicker than the Asus MeMO Pad 8. Both devices in this comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the older 4.1 version and Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1200 and much more pixels per display inch. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and they are faster).

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a camera with way more MP. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a superior storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB and 32 GB internal memory capacity.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a really longer battery performance than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
