Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has an overall score of 74.5, which is way better than Asus MeMO Pad 8's 61.2 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 construction is noticeably newer than Asus MeMO Pad 8's, although it's a lot heavier and a bit thicker. Both devices in this comparison review include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version, so it offers a couple additional features.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1200 resolution, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also counts with more pixels per screen inch. Asus MeMO Pad 8 and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 feature extremely similar CPUs, although the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a higher number of cores and more RAM.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior memory for games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB. Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a superior battery performance than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
Galaxy Tab A 10.5 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a way more MP back facing camera and a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a lot more expensive than Asus MeMO Pad 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
