Comparison review

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A (2016), having a 61.2 score against 60.4. Both devices in this comparison use Android OS, but Asus MeMO Pad 8 has an older 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Despite of the fact the Asus MeMO Pad 8 is older and a bit heavier than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), it's design is still somewhat thinner.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has 512 MB more RAM. Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a little bit larger display, a higher pixel count in each inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 1920 x 1200.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8. They have the same video frame rate, a back facing camera with a 5 MP and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a slot for external memory cards that admits 136 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a superior battery performance than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it costs a little more than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), giving up a couple specs and features.
