The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is just a bit better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, with a 65.7 score against 61.2. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4, counting with a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is newer than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, it is somewhat heavier and thicker.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). Both of them have a 2 GB RAM and a Quad-Core processor. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a little bit better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 64 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with a lot better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a back camera with a lot better 8 mega-pixels resolution and a much higher video resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a really longer battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
