Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is just a bit better than the Asus Transformer Prime, with a 60.1 score against 54.8. These devices have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a more recent 5.0 version while Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, providing you a couple nice extra features and performance improvements. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 body is notably newer, a lot thinner and incredibly lighter than the Asus Transformer Prime.

The Asus Transformer Prime features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with more processing cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a bit better looking display than Asus Transformer Prime, because although it has a way smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1024 x 768, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display.

Asus Transformer Prime takes much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much higher (Full HD) video definition and a camera with way more mega pixels. Asus Transformer Prime features just a bit bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an external memory slot that allows 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much better battery duration than Asus Transformer Prime.

Even being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is also by far the cheapest.
