Comparison review

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a lot better than the Asus Transformer Prime, with a general score of 68.5 against 56.3. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.2.2 version while Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, giving some extra features. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a newer tablet, and it is also lighter and much thinner than the Asus Transformer Prime.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than Asus Transformer Prime, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a way better display density. Asus Transformer Prime counts with more memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Asus Transformer Prime also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 32 GB.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a quite better hardware performance than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a graphics co-processor and more RAM memory. Asus Transformer Prime has a much better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a tinier aperture, they both have a 8 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
