Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has an overall score of 75.5, which is a lot better than Asus Transformer Prime's global score of 56.3. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 is a noticeably newer tablet, and it is also way lighter and incredibly thinner than the Asus Transformer Prime. Both tablets in this review come with Android operating system, but the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has newer 8.0 Oreo version and Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, so it offers some additional features.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a better CPU than Asus Transformer Prime, because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster) and a greater amount of RAM. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a much better display than Asus Transformer Prime, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and much more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 takes a bit better photos and videos than Asus Transformer Prime, because it has a larger aperture to capture better photography in poorly lited environments and a back camera with lot more mega-pixels. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Asus Transformer Prime, because it has a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB and 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a much longer battery lifetime than Asus Transformer Prime.
