Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is much better than Asus Transformer Prime, having a score of 65.7 against 56.3. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a way newer tablet, and it's also thinner and incredibly lighter than the Asus Transformer Prime.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a bit superior processing unit than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Asus Transformer Prime features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a just a little worse number of pixels per inch of display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Asus Transformer Prime also counts with a bigger screen.

Asus Transformer Prime counts with a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a SD card slot that allows 224 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) takes much clearer videos and photos than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have the same video resolution, the same video frame rate and a back-facing camera with an 8 megapixels, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a much larger camera aperture for better photos and videos in low-light environments.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a way better battery duration than Asus Transformer Prime.
