Comparison review

Sony Tablet S has an overall score of 57.5, which is a bit better than the Asus Transformer Prime's score of 56.3. Sony Tablet S's construction is just a little thinner but just a little bit heavier than Asus Transformer Prime, and both were only released with a couple of months difference. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Sony Tablet S has an older 4.0 version and Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3.

Asus Transformer Prime and Sony Tablet S have really similar screens, because although the Sony Tablet S has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the screen. Asus Transformer Prime has a bit better hardware performance than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Asus Transformer Prime also has a higher number of faster cores.

The Asus Transformer Prime has a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 32 GB, the Asus Transformer Prime also has 32 GB more internal memory. The Asus Transformer Prime features a much better camera than Sony Tablet S, because it has a way better video quality and a camera in the back with a way better 8 mega pixels resolution.

Sony Tablet S counts with a superior battery duration than Asus Transformer Prime.

Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it costs a little more than the Asus Transformer Prime, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus Transformer Prime. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Asus Transformer Prime, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
