Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is better than Asus ZenPad S 8.0's 62.2 overall score. Despite being the best portable tablet in this comparison, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 design is older, way heavier and somewhat thicker than Asus ZenPad S 8.0. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit faster processor than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, because although it has 2 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a brighter display than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, because it has a quite larger display, a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a quite better resolution of 1600 x 2560. The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 features a much better memory to install applications and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 128 GB.
