Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has an overall score of 77.4, which is a lot better than Asus ZenPad S 8.0's 62.2 global score. Even being the best tablet we compare here, it must be told that it's also an older, somewhat thicker and much heavier tablet. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a much better looking display than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, because although it has a just a bit less pixels per display inch, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a larger screen.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a little better hardware performance than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, because although it has less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also counts with an extra graphics processor. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a camera that's just as good as the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 one, they have the same video frame rates, the same (Full HD) video resolution and a camera in the back with an 8 megapixels resolution.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 has a little bit better memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 128 GB. Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a very superior battery life than Asus ZenPad S 8.0.
