Asus ZenPad S 8.0 has an overall score of 62.2, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's 60.5 score. The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 is a way lighter and somewhat thinner device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, even when both were released with only 2 months difference. The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 has a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and a much greater number of pixels per inch of screen.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 also has 48 GB more internal storage. Asus ZenPad S 8.0 has a superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a much better (Full HD) video quality and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a very superior battery duration than Asus ZenPad S 8.0.
