Microsoft Surface 2 has an overall score of 63.4, which is a bit better than the Dell Venue 8 7840's 61 score. Despite being the best portable tablet we compare here, Microsoft Surface 2's design is a lot heavier and incredibly thicker than the Dell Venue 8 7840. Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Dell Venue 8 7840 comes with Android 4.4 OS.
Dell Venue 8 7840 has a greater performance than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount, the Dell Venue 8 7840 also has a 64 bits processing unit and a graphics co-processor.
