Comparison review

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) is a bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, with a general score of 70.8 against 67.9. Even though Google Nexus 7 (2013) is older and thicker than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's body is still incredibly lighter. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a more recent 5.0 version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, providing a couple additional features and improved performance.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better hardware performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little more vivid display than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a little bit better pixel density, a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a larger display.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's camera is just as good as Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s camera, and although the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bigger aperture to take better low light photos and video and a lot more mega pixels back camera, they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features much more memory to install games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has more internal memory capacity.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
