Comparison review

Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a global score of 70.8, which is slightly better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's 68.5 general score. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has the newer 5.0 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides the user a couple nice extra features. Although Google Nexus 7 (2013) and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 were released only 2 months apart, Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s construction is a bit thicker but notably lighter than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit sharper screen than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a bit higher number of pixels in each inch in the display, a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a bigger display and more brightness. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit better performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same RAM amount and a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a better graphics co-processor working at 450 megahertz.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and Google Nexus 7 (2013) both feature incredibly similar cameras, although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a camera in the back with a way higher resolution and a larger aperture to capture better low-light captures and video. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a way better battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
