Google Nexus 7 (2013) is much better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, with a score of 70.8 against 62.8. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has older 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) is an older and thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but Google could make it just a little lighter anyway.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has a graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM. Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher screen pixels density and a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a quite bigger memory to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a little longer battery performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) captures much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
