Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is just a bit better than the Google Nexus 7 (2013), having a overall score of 74.5 against 70.8. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an older 4.4.2 version while Google Nexus 7 (2013) has Android 5.0. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a newer portable tablet, and it's also a bit lighter and way thinner than Google Nexus 7 (2013).
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little bit better looking display than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch of screen, a larger screen and a better 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 128 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features improved battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 4900mAh battery size instead of 3950mAh.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features just a bit better camera than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also by far the cheapest, making it a great choice.
