Comparison review

Google Nexus 7 (2013) has an overall score of 70.8, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Tablet Z's overall score of 68.5. These tablets use Android operating system, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has 5.0 version and Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4 version. Even though Google Nexus 7 (2013) and the Xperia Tablet Z were only released 6 months apart, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) construction is noticeably lighter but also thicker than the Xperia Tablet Z.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a little bit better screen than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also counts with a higher display pixel density. The Xperia Tablet Z features a much better memory for applications and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 64 GB.

Xperia Tablet Z's processor is very similar to the CPU in Google Nexus 7 (2013), both have the same RAM memory amount, a 400 megahertz GPU and a Quad-Core CPU. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a back-facing camera with much less mega pixels and a worse video quality.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a way better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 3950mAh.
