Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an overall score of 73.3, which is just a bit better than Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s 70.7 overall score. Both devices in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the previous 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 7 (2013) has Android 5.0 version. Even though the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a little bit heavier than the Google Nexus 7 (2013), it's thinner and newer.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little sharper display than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a bigger display, a higher 2560 x 1600px resolution and a little more pixels per inch of screen.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a much better 8 mega-pixels resolution back camera. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a better storage capacity to install games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 128 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 4900mAh battery size instead of 3950mAh.
In addition to being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes this tablet an obvious call.
