Google Nexus 9 has a global score of 74.5, which is slightly better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's 68.5 global score. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Google Nexus 9 has a more recent 5.0 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 version. The Google Nexus 9 is a somewhat heavier tablet than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, but both of them are equally thin.
Google Nexus 9 counts with a bit better performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has 2 lesser cpu cores and doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the Google Nexus 9 also counts with a 64-bits processing unit.
