The Google Nexus 9 is better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, with a 74.5 score against 65. Google Nexus 9 is a newer tablet, and it is also incredibly lighter and a little bit thinner than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. The Google Nexus 9 counts with Android 5.0 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 OS. Google Nexus 9 counts with a superior CPU than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Google Nexus 9 also has a 64-bits processing unit.
The Google Nexus 9 features a sharper display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 2048 x 1536px and a way higher pixel number per screen inch. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 9, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity.
Google Nexus 9 features a way better battery duration than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Although Google Nexus 9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
