Google Nexus 9 has an overall score of 74.5, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's overall score of 67.8. The Google Nexus 9 is a lighter device than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but they have the same thickness. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but the Google Nexus 9 has newer 5.0 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it counts with a lot of extra features.
The Google Nexus 9 has a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a lot higher 2048 x 1536 resolution. The Google Nexus 9 features a quite superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has an inferior number of cores and doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU and 512 MB more RAM.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with slightly more storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 9, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 64 GB. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has just a little better battery performance than Google Nexus 9, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity against 6700mAh.
Google Nexus 9 shoots better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a back camera with much more mega-pixels and a way better (Full HD) video definition.
Although Google Nexus 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Google Nexus 9, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, resigning a couple specs and features.
