Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is just a bit better than Google Nexus 9, getting a 76.7 score against 74.5. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has 11 version and Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0 version. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) body is way newer and just a little bit thinner, but just a little bit heavier than the Google Nexus 9.
The Google Nexus 9 counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), because although it has lesser CPU cores (although faster) and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU. Google Nexus 9 features a lot better screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels density and a quite better resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has a much greater storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 512 GB and more internal storage capacity. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Nexus 9, letting go some specs and features.
