Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a score of 79, which is a little bit better than Google Nexus 9's 74.5 global score. Galaxy Tab Active 3's construction is a lot newer and a little lighter than Google Nexus 9's, but it's also much thicker. These tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a more recent 10 version and Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0 version, providing you a couple nice extra features.
The Google Nexus 9 features a brighter display than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a little bit better pixels amount per inch in the screen, a bit higher 2048 x 1536px resolution and a bit larger screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a little faster processor than Google Nexus 9, because although it has a 32 bits CPU against 64-bits, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Nexus 9, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 1 TB and more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a superior camera than Google Nexus 9, because it has a way better (4K) video quality and a way more mega-pixels back camera.
Google Nexus 9 counts with improved battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a 6700mAh battery capacity instead of 5050mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Nexus 9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Google Nexus 9, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
