Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is just a bit better than the HP ElitePad 1000, with a 54.2 score against 52. These devices use Windows operating system, but the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a newer 8.1 Pro version while HP ElitePad 1000 has Windows 8.1 version, so it gives some nice extra features. Despite being the best in this comparison, Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a incredibly heavier and notably thicker tablet than the HP ElitePad 1000.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a much greater hardware performance than HP ElitePad 1000, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has a higher number of cores. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a better looking screen than HP ElitePad 1000, because although it has a little worse pixels count per display inch and a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a quite larger display.

HP ElitePad 1000 counts with a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a much higher video resolution. HP ElitePad 1000 has a much greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

HP ElitePad 1000 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 both count with really similar batteries duration.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 costs a little more money than HP ElitePad 1000, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
