Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 68.5, which is much better than HP ProPad 600's 58.2 overall score. Even though the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and the HP ProPad 600 were only released 5 months apart, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much thinner and much lighter. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.2.2 OS, and HP ProPad 600 comes with Windows 8.1 OS.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit better processing unit than HP ProPad 600, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a GPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a better looking screen than HP ProPad 600, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and much more pixels per inch of screen.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 shoots a bit better videos and photos than HP ProPad 600. Both of them have the same resolution back facing camera.
